Free TextID Trial

TextID allows you to sign up from your phone. Just follow the instructions, and you will get a free trial of 7 messages (5 day limit).

Instructions:

Text "getit" followed by your desired TextID to 555411. You will then receive a message either that your Free TRIAL is active or that your desired TextID is not available and to try another one.
Example: If you wanted the TextID JoeSmith, text: "Getit JoeSmith" to 555411 - not case sensitive

You will receive one of 4 of possible messages:
  • If the signup was a success and you are a NEW TextID user:
    Ur FREE TRIAL is active up to 7 reqs for 5 days
    Setup ur msg, txt [your provided TextID] followed by a dot & ur msg:
    [your provided TextID] .ur msg
    textid.com passwd:[generated password]
  • If the signup was a success and you're already a TextID user:
    Ur FREE TRIAL is active up to 7 reqs for 5 days
    Setup ur msg, txt [your provided TextID] followed by a dot & ur msg:
    [your provided TextID] .ur msg
    Login textID.com to buy
  • If the TextID is not available:
    We're sorry, but this TextID is not available.
    Please provide another TextID.
  • If the TextID was not entered or understood (i.e. just texted GETIT):
    We did not recognize ur TextID for the FREE trial.
    Example:to get a TextID for JohnDoe, text "GETIT JohnDoe" to 555411

Changing your message using your mobile phone

Ensure that you selected "Allow Phone Edits" for the TextID online setup.
Using the registered mobile phone for your TextID, text your TextID followed by a space and a dot (".") then begin your message.
Example: If your TextID was JoeSmith, text "JoeSmith .Joe Smith President, ACME Co. (602)555-5555" to 555411
Your scheduled messages will be deactived automatically when you set a message by phone

Scheduling Messages

You can choose to set up to 10 messages at a time with our scheduling feature. Login to your account, click the link under Scheduling for the appropriate TextID - this link will either state "Enabled" or "Disabled" depending upon whether your scheduled message is active. Enter the Begin Date, End Date and the message that you want others to recieve when they text your TextID.
Example: From Dec 1, 2008 to Dec 8, 2008 your message will be "Currently on vacation 'til the 9th - please contact Jane Smith at 602.555.5555 if you need immediate assistance"

At any time, you can login to disable your scheduled messages, which then your normal message will be active, or if you update your message via your mobile phone, this will automatically disable your scheduled messaages.

Returning to scheduling messages using your mobile phone

To activate your scheduled messages, text your TextID followed by a space and BACK
Example: If your TextID was JoeSmith, text "JoeSmith back" to 555411 and you will recieve one of these three responses:
  • The sheduled messages request was succesful:
    ur scheduled msgs are now enabled
  • You are not texting from the mobile phone which number was used to register your account:
    ur request failed authentication
  • You do not have "Allow Edits by Phone" checked on your account: (Login to textID.com to make this change)
    edits via mobile is disabled

Password Reset

If you ever forget your password, you can reset it from either online or by your mobile phone. Use this temporary password to login to your account and you can then change the password.
To reset your password from online, click the "Forgot Password" link on the "my ID" page and provide your mobile phone number, and the new password will be sent to your mobile phone.
To reset your password from your mobile phone, text PASSWORD to 555411 and you will recieve either one of these responses:
  • The password reset request was succesful:
    As per ur request, here's ur new password: [new password here]
  • if you do not have currently have an active TextID account:
    ur mobile phone number was not found as an active member in our system. Password reset denied
